I switched from Verizon which was costing me $71 and change per month. My first full monthly bill from Google Fi was $26.34 AND I get better coverage with Fi than I got from Verizon. I am so glad I switched. It goes to show you, it’s not always “you get what you pay for “. Some companies are just greedy and WAY over priced.

I love Google Fi! I am a long time Google voice user and the ability to have a business phone and a family and friends line in one device is great. My first full bill was $30. Just get an unlocked phone get a sim and go.

Yes, Google does give these out for free. HOWEVER, Google will also charge you $19 dollars for “expedited” shipping that takes 2-3 days. I got this the NEXT day after ordering it for FREE through prime. The $10 dollars you pay is reimbursed to you in the form of credit and is automatically applied to you next phone bill. I would recommended to but the SIM card through Amazon instead of paying 20 dollars for shipping through Google.

Data can get expensive if you’re not cognizant, but the service is a bit better than a cheap prepaid plan. I’m using this for a work only phone that is always on wifi, and TracFone / total wireless for my primary service, as it’s $35/month no matter the data usage.

Its great card to stay in touch with your family if you travel a lot. Good plan offers, and great support 24/7.I`m using this one on Xiaomi phone and friend of mine is using it on Samsung and we get reception every where in caribbean. How ever, if you are iPhone user, you won`t get reception in Bahamas. Not due to Google Fi, but because iPhone doesn`t support bahamian networks. Rest works well. Soon we are off to Honduras, so i hope it will work there as well.

As of writing this, I am in Iraq with the US military and ported my number over from Verizon. Initially, Google Fi did not work. I could only send text messages over Wi-Fi. I could not make calls on the network or over Wi-Fi, and I obviously did not have data. I chatted with tech support and they told me to deselect automatic network operator. I chose Asiacell manually and connected in under a minute. Once I got connected I had to put a “+” in front of the phone number I was calling to call a US number. The “+” is for calling from outside the US, they require to add + before making a call.So you know… I’ve had it working for about 20 minutes. I’m happy so far.

As of Sep 2nd 2020, you can activate the sim outside of the United States.(New package doesn’t say you need to activate the sim in the USA.)I was using Google fi with eSIM but my phone broke on international travel. I ordered this sim kit and ship it oversea with amazon international express. Arrived in 3 days to Japan.I had no problem with this activation and moving my phone number back to my new phone.Google fi is only available for us residents and your data connection will get suspended if you’re living overseas.I’m glad Google now let us activate the fi sim outside of the USA to save people stuck in other countries due to coronavirus.Good coverage, fast speed, great pricing. You can use wifi calls to the US number for free btw. (You need to turn off cellular data to make sure your phone uses wifi call)

We had two Verizon phones, got two bar service where we live. Verizon chartged us $70/mo for 2GB of data. I purchased my new Pixel 5 phone from Amazon and I also purchased this Google Fi SIM for testing after verifying that there would be no fee for setting up a new number, testing for week or two, and cancelling service if I was not satisfied. Testing showed that Google Fi provided 3- bars and sometimes four-bars in and around our home, so I ported my Verizon phone to the new Pixel 5 and Google Fi. We then purchased a second Pixel 5 with a Google Fi SIM for my wife and ported her Verizon phone to Google Fi as well. We now pay less than $50/mo for both phones and we get 10GB of data.We use very little cellular data. I don’t think we’ve ever gone over 1GB/ per month, so this seems like an ideal solution for us. We also like the fact that Google Fi uses a VPN to secure our phones from hackers when we use public WiFi networks.
