The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with this purchase I bought this mini ice maker for my store I originally purchase a commercial fridge it came with no freezer since my store is not too big I went on a look for a ice machine came up on this.It is very chik does not make use noise very compact fit right on our store county to blend shakes for the customers.I definitely recommend this for those who have little space and want no big fridge or a floor freezer. You definitely need to give it an hour or 2 before it makes the ice faster and I recommend you buy plastic bags (empty ice bags) to make the ice and store it if you want a whole lot at onceGreat buy I’m happy

I spent thousands on a Samsung French-door refrigerator 5 years back, joining the thousands who love the fridge but hate the ice maker. Apparently, I’m not alone in my disdain for that “sometimes it works, most of the time not” ice maker that just freezes up on a regular basis. Had it repaired, then replaced, still the same issue. My wife LOVES ice in her diet soda. She doesn’t drink coffee, so her DC is her morning lifeblood, but she MUST have her Yeti full of ice….SO…..I heard about this countertop ice maker and gave it a run. Wrapped it up as an “extra’ Christmas gift (I know, never give your wife an appliance for Christmas) but this was more fun and experiment than a vacuum or dust mop. Our ice maker (in the fridge) OF COURSE started working again on Christmas Eve, which really gave me a chuckle. When she unwrapped it, my wife said “The ice maker is working again!” which made me chuckle even harder. I knew (and I was right) that it would stop working…and it did. On Christmas afternoon. Out came this Frigidaire ice maker, and I had it making ice literally minutes later. Once I started, I was an ice-making machine. I even bought ice cube bags on Amazon, and started filling 10 pound bags of ice. I would make an Eskimo jealous with all the ice I’ve made with this thing. Now I’m thinking fishing season, even though it’s January, because I have a fishing boat at the shore, and I’m always planning my route to stop for bagged ice on my down to the boat…NOT ANY MORE. I’ll have bag after bag in the garage freezer now. Easy to run, simple and easy to drain and wipe down when your “other fridge” decides to work, and makes at least the 20 pounds a day that it claims. As long as you keep emptying that bin to another container or bag, you’ll watch your cubes build up like magic. Great product! Would purchase again in a heartbeat.

We are loving this ice maker. I did not notice any funky smell or taste like other people are commenting about. Perhaps what they are experiencing is actually from the water they are using, we only use bottled water. (Living in Arizona you don’t drink tap water and certainly don’t use it for ice either). We did throw out the first batch of ice just because of it being the machines first time being used, although I did chomp on one of the ice cubes and it tasted great. I never noticed any chemical smell other people spoke of in their reviews, not at all. Once the machine was out of the box and plugged in there was no smell. The only smell there was came from the Styrofoam in the box. Once that’s out of the kitchen there are no weird smells at all. Here’s the thing I didn’t like: the ice melts in the basket so I was having to hurry to get each batch of only 9 ice cubes out immediately and put it in the freezer. There’s no coldness in there at all to keep the ice from melting. The basket of ice cubes sit directly over the water reservoir. However, I solved this problem and now I can sit back and relax while the ice maker does its job and I can wait for a whole basket of ice before attending to it and my ice cubes stay frozen.1) I use “refrigerated” water (distilled to keep from calcium build up)2) I put an ice pack on top of the ice maker door covered with a folded dish towel. It’s going to sound foolish to say this, but “for the first time in my life, making ice is actually fun.”I highly recommend this ice maker. It’s very quiet, as well. It only sounds like a tiny fan running, barely noticeable at all.It does have small or large ice cube options. I made the small ones first, they are perfect for people who love to chomp on ice, then made the large ones. I can still chomp on the large ones. I’ve been just making large ice cubes since because they will last longer in the drinks. The small ones would be great for putting in your glass of wine. The bullet shape ice cubes makes them much more functional to get in water bottles and small mouth drink containers. That’s definitely a plus! I could never get the square cubes in my containers.

Love it, use it in the camper – perfect for what we needed. Makes ice quickly and conveniently. Little/no noise noticed. A bit heavy to lift. Never had a problem with it.Not for keeping ice cold – you do need to remove the ice from the tray and place into the freezer once ready. Not a big deal to us though.

I bought this because my current refrigerator Ice maker stopped working. I wasn’t ready to get a new refrigerator, so I bought this. It is great! Makes ice in no time at all! I put it away when I am not using it! Really nice to have. Great purchase.

The media could not be loaded. I Love my new ice machine. It’s very compact. It sits on top my mini refrigerator in my room. This makes my life much easier being 36 weeks pregnant. I don’t have to keep asking someone toGet ice for me or keep making trips to the kitchen. Haha I feel very spoiled but this lovely ice machine gets the job done. once you power on and fill the water tank, it take about 20 minutes to get a full tray of ice. So it’s quick! I fill the water tank with filter water that I keep right next to it in my room as well. everything is quick, clean and convenient.

I had previously purchase an ice maker from Heartland America. What a mistake. It cost a lot more. Never worked correctly. No customer service and cost a lot more than the Igloo which works like a champ. I would recommend this ice maker.

This Frigidaire model is great. Just makes a noise when ice is emptied. The last one we had made a little more noise but this one makes ice faster, too, and makes two sizes of ice. Another good buy! I also like the Frigidaire products. This one is also a little smaller than the other brand we had, which we like, and looks good set up on a little table. I think I got the table from Amazon, too.. Then ordered another table it is so useful. Thanks.

We are always running out of ice and this has solved the problem. I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. This ice maker is excellent and will delivery the 26 lbs. of ice per day. What a lot of people don’t understand about countertop ice makers is that when the ice is made it is about 27 degrees and the ice maker is not a storage freezer. Think of it like the ice that was just made will sit in the ice maker which is like keeping ice in a cooler. It won’t get colder it will just slowly melt and then gets turned back into ice again.Keep in mind when you pull ice out of your kitchen freezer that has been in there for several hours it is around 0 degrees vs. the 27 degrees right out of the countertop ice maker. So, ice from your freezer is going to last a lot longer in a drink than ice out of this countertop ice maker. So, that may not be ideal for some if you are having a drink outside on a hot day and not using an insulated cup. For best results take the ice out of the countertop ice maker and put it in a gallon ziplock bag and place it in the freezer for a little while so it will get down to the 0 degrees. That is not necessary though. The ice that comes right out of the machine is plenty cold enough for drinking beverages indoors. If you want to use the ice outdoors just place the ice in an insulated cup.Pros:Very quality built machine.Very easy to use.It uses lights to notify you of the status rather than annoying beeps. It really does make 26 lbs. of ice in an hour.First ice in about 8 minutes.Full basket of ice in about an hour.Pauses itself when ice basket is full and will resume ice production automatically as soon as some ice is removed.Light comes on when water needs to be added (keep in mind you still have a full basket of ice when this triggers).Melts very slowly and if you leave it on over night it only comes on once or twice to replace the ice that melted.Quite operation. It doesn’t take up a lot of countertop space so we are able to leave it out and it matches our stainless steel fridge. It comes with a nice ice scoop which is great for parties. This ice maker keeps dropping ice every 8 minutes. The cord is very long so it doesn’t have to be right up against the outlet.Cons:The only con I have about the machine is trying to drain the water remaining when you are done using it. There is a drain plug underneath it that is a little tricky to use because you can’t see underneath the machine and you can’t just turn the machine upside down to drain it per their instructions. That will harm the machine. What I found to be a great solution is instead of using the drain plug I use a microfiber towel to soak up all the water left in the machine. That only takes a quick second and you don’t have to move the ice maker over the sink to drain it. I then leave the lid open to make sure it dries out. So it really isn’t a con if you use the microfiber towel. It is so easy this way which means I never mind using the machine even to make a small amount of ice.

Folks, the serial number of these machines is NOT on the device. It’s a small label attached on the manufacturer’s shipping box (says S/N: numbers). You might want to take a photo or take a note of it. Per the reviews on another brand, if you later sought warranty, they’ll ask and insist on the serial number. It seems that the idea is that you probably will have discarded the box and that point. Without a serial number, the customer service of the other brand told people to take a hike. I opted for this brand but I found the same trick happening probably because they all come from the same Chinse factory, or the same importer. Ye been warned!TL;DR: The serial number is on the box, not the machine. Keep it on record.
