Mary a pennington –
I purchased this set a few months ago. It has a large variety in it. The foundation brush I use daily. I have washed it several times withoutseeing any wear on it. I also use the other powder, blush and blending brushes. These are a great price. I would recommend them if youare on a budget .

I have been using these brushes for over a week now and so far they are the best yet. I usually get brushes every 6 months because of the usage and how much other brushes shed but these are GREAT, no shedding and I have washed them 3 times!

Surprised at the quality for the price.I like to have a full set of make-up brushes in my travel kit since I travel for work and like to grab my bag and go without forgetting things. The quality of these brushes are great. No bristles falling out when I use them, and they are a very soft material, they don’t feel coarse and cheap like other brushes. I also like that the brushes they included are all “usable”, they don’t include a bunch of brushes you will never use just to boost the number of brushes in the set. I would much rather pay for fewer-better brushes than more-less quality brushes. And, a kabuki brush is included! (The reason I originally selected this particular set). They come in a little cloth bag with a draw string, but I put that aside and use my regular travel make-up bag.Would recommend.

I LOVE these brushes!! I’m not a makeup artist but I wanted to upload a photo that I took of them and added some text with what they would best be used for since the paper it came with shows what each one is used for. (These are based on the card it comes with only) In my opinion, #1 is best for blush as it could be used for foundation, but usually more dense brushes are best for blending liquid foundation or creams. The flat top dense brushes are best for foundations (liquid and or mineral). #2 seems best for liquid foundation, or highlighter (that you would dab ontop of your high cheekbones). It can also be used as a bigger concealer brush as well. #3 This one is best used for contouring, or highlighting or blending eye shadow. #4 Best uses would be for smudging eyeliner or used for lower eye lid smudging eyeshadow. It’s also very good for blending or adding more darker colors to the end creases of your eyelid. #5 Best used for angled eye shadow in the creases. #6 Eyebrow brush (using eye shadow only), and also to use for eyeliner (esp if using eye shadow for eyeliner). #7 This one is best for a small concealer brush OR using eye shadow to “pat” on the eyelid. #8 Best for eye shadow in the crease and blending. #9 The bristle side is for eyebrows and the comb side is for combing and separating eye lashes #10 is best used for setting powder, or all over powder OR a light use of blending mineral powder. #11 is best for blending liquid or mineral foundation (the more dense the more it helps blend #12 Same uses as #11 Hope this helps :)

These brushes definitely exceeded my expectations! I’ve purchased single brushes from name brands for the same price (or even more) as the price of this 12 piece set and I have to say the quality of these brushes is better than some of those name brands! There’s not a single thing that I could complain about. The brushes were packaged nicely and luckily for me they didn’t have any strong chemical smell, I did still wash them of course, and didn’t have any bristles fall out or anything. The bristles are perfectly soft but still a bit firm. Overall they feel really well made and I haven’t had any shedding whatsoever. I would absolutely recommend this set and I honestly might buy another just because lol. The price is amazing and the quality is so impressive!

These brushes are all I’d hoped they’d be: quality, soft as heck, and useful in their variety. I’ve had a lot of fun trying them out and not necessarily for the purposes listed on the sheet that came with the brushes. In fact I got a kick out of the one that was said to be a blush brush and it has a tiny head (it’s the 8th brush on the left in the picture)–haha. But that aside, I knew what I wanted to do with each brush and hands down every one of them has performed beautifully. I usually use the flat topped brushes to put foundation on, but I can see using the smaller domed brush for that too. I use the large domed brush or the shorter one to apply loose or compact powders. I use the soft smaller brush heads for different concealer type products and the one very firm small brush (5th from the left) to apply a small amount of shadow close to my lashes (though that purpose isn’t working so well as it doesn’t go on smoothly and some of the shadow drops onto my lashes–I’ll have to try another brush). I really like the shorter brushes to take when I travel. As far as bristles coming out, so far I have seen only 1. I’ve washed these brushes several times with dish soap because it really cuts the grease that is in foundation and concealer well. In between washing them, I wipe them off with an alcohol wipe especially after using foundation and concealer for sanitary reasons. That’s a tip I got from another reviewer and it works great with these brushes. After washing, a couple of the brushes weren’t completely dry the next morning–not a big deal as I still could have used them cuz they were 90% dry. These brushes feel really great in my hands. They are lightweight and sturdy feeling and I especially like the ones with the thicker than usual handles. The only one I haven’t used and never will since I don’t use mascara and eyebrow powder is the eyebrow/eyelash brush. I also won’t be using the first brush on the left (the typical foundation brush) since I much prefer the flat or domed type for that use and I already have three of that type anyway. I can also use either the flat or the domed for blush. It’s fun to try different things with these brushes and I’ve been a little surprised, such as with the 8th brush on the left that I tried with concealer, at how well they can work even if I didn’t initially think of it at first. IMO these brushes are every bit as good any more expensive brushes I’ve had and I think I’ll get some more to give as gifts for Christmas.

I love these brushes I’ve had them for months and use them just about everyday (not all of them, of course). They are soft and hairs are not shedding all over the place. Not even when I wash them. No problems with application of foundation, eyeshadow, highlighter, or whatever I’m using them for. Very nice brushes for the price. Makes me mad that I’ve paid $30 for one MAC brush when I could have bought 2 sets of equally good brushes for the same price. They come in a little pouch and each is individually wrapped. Classy. I highly recommend.

Brushes are soft but densely packed and pick up and hold powder very well. I’ve especially been impressed with the flat brushes precision application of eyeshadow and blending. Not very impressed with the small fluff brushes… They could be more dense, and the bristle length shortened. Right now they’re pretty useless. Love the inclusion of an eyebrow brush and eyelash comb. Too many sets are leaving this tool out now days, and it really is a must have in any collection IMHO. The mini Kabuki brush is an awesome little bonus and great for travel applications. There was a chemical smell but nothing too awful. Just letting the brushes breath overnight a few nights should get rid of it. No shedding, no loose handles. These brushes are definitely made to be on par with paint brushes, which is part of why I love them (I grew up with paint brushes more so than makeup brushes lol). I LOVE the large precision fine tip brush included in this. It’s not even a technical makeup brush but intended for drawing on liquid. I’m going to have fun with that one. 😉

Brushes are high quality. Sturdy bamboo handles versus the alternative plastic easily broken makeup brushes out there. Perfect for on the go and at home. Only brush missing is fan brush but not needed. They have a perfect highlighter brush. I compared brushes out there and this had quality and affordability. What clutched my decision was a YouTube amazon makeup brush comparison. This won out by far. Super happy with my purchase. A+++

For what it cost I was not expecting to love this as much as I do. I was expecting maybe roughness, or the little hairs coming out now and then. I was prepared to deal with it though, as I was a bit desperate and needed something to fill the gap. Nice and soft, but stiff enough to pick up the press powder/blush/bronzer I use easily. Not one hair has come out of them yet. I LOVE these brushes!!Vendor delivered in a timely fashion and in good condition.
