Honestly, I’m not a makeup girlie girl, but I recently started using Bare Minerals, and needed a brush for application. I couldn’t be happier with the EcoTools retractable brush. It’s super soft on my skin, and fluffy enough to grab and distribute my mineral powder evenly. I know it’s labeled as a ‘travel’ brush, but I like that a simple adjustmemt allows for a ‘tighter’ bristle formation for areas under my eyes and along my nose, or a fuller brush for the apples of my cheeks, forehead and chin. Sometimes I like to ‘pre-load’ the brush with my mineral powder or blush for a quick freshen up during the day – no need to bring those bulky makeup compacts! The top is really secure, so I’ve never had to worry about a mess in my purse or makeup case. I like the brush so much, I got a second one for blush application – I lucked out that they sent me the green combo so I can quickly tell the difference without opening the brush cases. Couldn’t be happier with these brushes!

I bought this to keep in my bag for everyday touch ups with setting powder. It’s really compact and works great! I have combo skin that leans oily so my face eats powder like crazy and every few hours I’ll need to set it again (especially on hot humid days!) Super glad I bought this! Should have a long time ago!

I’m not a “makeup girl”. I wear a little mineral foundation and that’s about it and I don’t know how I have lived without this brush. I used to have a cheaper retractable brush and it didn’t hold the powder well, didn’t blend very well, and the bristles broke and frayed pretty quickly, but I thought that was just how brushes were. I feel like I use less overall product with this brush and it blends like a dream. I absolutely love it. I bought a second one for my travel bag.

I love this brush. I’ve used this for many years. I have 1 in my purse, 1 at the office and 1 at home. My first one was from Ulta and the other 2 were from Amazon. It’s soft and gentle on my sensitive skin and works well with liquid, cream or mineral powder. I used to wash it (the whole thing) with shampoo and water or with expensive brush cleaners, both of which did a fair job but took forever to dry and always left some residue. Now, I use good old isopropyl alcohol. I pour the alcohol in a small cup and swirl the bristles. I’m not gentle with it at all. (Actually, I don’t swirl it – I squash and smash it in the cup because I want to make sure every single bristle gets cleaned.) I replace the alcohol and do this a few times until ALL makeup has been removed and alcohol runs clear. You’d be amazed at how much makeup is in there. Isopropyl alcohol is cheap and it cleans and disinfects the brush thoroughly without leaving ANY residue. The brush comes out soft and fluffy, like new. It dries quickly because it’s alcohol, and dries even faster if you towel dry first then blow dry.In between washings, I clean them with alcohol wipes.I do this with all my make-up brushes every couple of weeks. Try this. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Love this, super compact and easy to use in my small makeup bag. I am not by means a much of a make up wearer besides powder foundation, blush and mascara. I use this as a blush brush after I am done with my foundation. Once I notice I am starting to break out I clean this. I know I should clean this more often. I have dropped this brush capped and uncapped a bunch of times and this has not broken! I have no complaints about this brush! Simple easy and does the job!

I bought this to keep in my purse, which is a fairly small crossbody, and it’s great. I used to carry both the brush and a powder, but I read an interesting review saying they pre-powdered the brush, then retracted it into the base, and that way they had enough for a touch up and didn’t have to lug around a compact too. That was a game changer! Great advice, and that’s exactly what I do now. Saves valuable purse space.

I received my travel kabuki brush a couple days ago.Pros:- super soft bristles-compact-easy to dab some powder and pre-load for later touch-up (as another reviewer had mentioned, thanks for the tip!)-secured cap (no need to worry about accidentally spilled powder in the bag if you pre-load the brush)-metal body won’t crack like plastic (which can become brittle over time – especially if left in a hot car)Con:-I’ve used it a couple times and a few bristles would come loose from the middle and fall outPossible Con for some:-Though I actually like the green lid, I did expect the lid to match the body as pictured; they really should update their picture so as not to unintentionally mislead people. See pictures.I do like this brand and have a couple other brushes made by EcoTools.

I bought this, full price, kind of an impulse buy – which I thought I’d regret because cheap makeup brushes are never soft and fluffy but kind of feel like corse paint brushes- anyways- I love this. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s so stylish, compact but still big enough for a face brush and I love that’s it has a cover so I can throw it in my bag. Perfect. Happy girl. Hope my pictures help :)

I’ve been carrying A Retractable Kabuki brush on my purse for forever. Even though in the morning, my base makeup may be a liquid foundation or Tinted Moisturizer, I carry a powder foundation for midday Touchups and I prefer to use the kabuki brush for this. I’ve gone through numerous unknown brands of these brushes and at first, they all worked great, but after a few washes, no matter how careful I was to keep the brush upside down, the brush would become detached from the bottom, where up pops up and down from. So, I finally decided to stop being cheap and bought one from Eco Tools, because when I first started learning to apply my Eyeshadow etc. with brushes, these were always quality made and long lasting. I love this Kabuki brush so much better for lots of reasons. I feel the bristles are softer and of better quality, I get more coverage with just a couple swipes the brush. I can also use it to freshen up my blush after foundation and the blush still looks seamless and it reacts well to my spray brush cleaner that I use in between my weekly washes. And as far as my deep cleansing goes, the wishy of the bristles are just as soft and have maintained their perfect shape, and unlike my previous ones, they is no hint of the base becoming the slightest bit loose which happens right before it becomes completely detached. It’s definitely worth the extra few dollars and I couldn’t be happier

I needed a Kabuki brush because I started using a pressed powder foundation that didn’t come with any sort of applicator. I looked at user reviews for the product and the recommended brush was upwards of $20… I already spent $40 on the powder! So this $6 brush with a 4.5 star rating was the way to go for me!The bristles are very soft and thick and the cap makes it great for tossing in your makeup bag and keeping it clean.Only criticism is the cap came in green. Not that I care; it doesn’t downgrade the quality of the actual brush in any way.
