I asked my local mom friends what I should do about a window alarm and virtually all of them said this brand! We ordered a pack – which works for two windows, it’s two sets or two pairs if that makes sense – and they’re easy to use. Just decide where on the window you want to put them, and you’ll definitely hear the alarm! Other than being able to physically see them on the inside of your window, there’s no real downside. I do recommend that you also keep the window locked anyway so your kids can’t accidentally flip them open. And you can bypass the alarm so that you can open your window without having to remove the sensor. We just ordered another pair to do the rest of our bedrooms.

We have a 3 year old granddaughter who opens doors and goes outside without notice, so we needed something to notify us when she was attempting an escape. This alarm is a perfect solution for the sliding screen door leading out to the deck. It fits perfectly on the sliding screen door and is quite unobtrusive.

The media could not be loaded. This alarm system is very easy to install and works well. the unit’s volume is extremely loud compared to its size.. This is great if you are alone, upstairs, or asleep. Might not be a problem at all design wise. However, when entering or leaving your place it is pretty obnoxious. Of course, you can use the alarm as per your convenience and use it as needed.Very satisfied, especially considering the price. Easy installation and Loud enough for me! A great first line of defense for home security.

The media could not be loaded. This alarm is loud, easy to install with 3M double sides tape. One thing I wish it also includes would be the chime option, just as a warning of the door open/close. It is, however, easier to have only the alarm option, especially for back door that doesn’t meant to be open and close all that time anyway. I had those one with the chime option, the extra option sometimes are not as convinient for doors that are meant to be shut most of the time. I like it for my back door.

Wow for the low price, I can’t believe how loud this is. Functions as promised. I caught my HOA President and Property Manager in my garage the other day (the creeps!). I threatened to call the police and lost a lot of sleep waiting and wondering when their next unannounced visit would be. As soon as anyone opens my garage, this will inform the whole neighborhood.IMPORTANT: It sounds immediately and does not have a remote. So if you only use this one exit/entrance, it will go off everytime you enter. In my case, to properly arm it, I had to tolerate 2 seconds of the siren. Once the door is closed again, the sound stops.

Small things come in big packages!! I was looking for a device, that would deter the agents of darkness, because in recent months, some of our neighbor’s have encountered break ins. Well, I have learned, to always read the reviews, before buying. Sometimes the reviews can be off, but not always! This device, I saw, it had nine reviews, with perfect scores. One of the reviews I read, a man was saying how loud it was, and it even scared him. I am here to confirm this device deserves a 10 star rating. Many of those, who wrote reviews, talked about how you could hear the noise on the second floor. Indeed you can! Upstairs, we have fans running constantly, to help keep our place cool, and many times we cannot hear a thing! I bought 2 packs, because you get two alarms, in one pack. This device is all that and a bag of chips! First: make sure to test it once you open your box. Secondly: to see how the device stays silent, line up the arrows (the alarm and the smaller piece). Third: before installing, make sure not to remove paper from the back of the device, until you test it manually, where you are going to place the device. Test to make sure it works, where you decide to place it. Lastly: make sure both pieces are pretty close together, I would suggest, put your alarm up high, so you know where it is. If someone, does come in, the intruder will not have time to smash it! Make sure if the alarm is armed, move to get outside that door very quickly, or disarm it, and have someone arm it behind you. I have mine upside down. This alarm is the best!

These work great for my entry doors. The devices are well made & do not feel cheap. I have a decorative molding frame around my doors that makes it difficult to mount these devices in the same plane & closer than a 1/4 inch. The first product I ordered would not work on my door frames for those reasons. This works great. On one door I had to place the large alarm portion on the frame which meant that it was at an angle to the smaller portion that is mounted on the flat door (the decorative door framing prevents anything mounted on it to be flat & in the same plane as the door). The sticky tape on the back covers the entire portion of each piece & it sticks very securely to even my semi-gloss paint on the door & framing. The large portion sticks securely to the frame even though there is not a completely flat portion on the framing large enough to accommodate the entire back of the large piece. My other door worked out better because it opened inward to the left which meant that I could mount the smaller portion on the framing. The frame does have a space wide enough that the smaller piece could mount flat on the narrow portion of the framing. There is at least a 1/4 inch gap between the pieces on both my doors & it probably would accommodate a little larger gap if necessary. The alarm is loud, but not so ear damaging that it is painful. I will not have any problems hearing it all over my 1400 sq foot home. The alarms stops immediately when the door closes (in case you open the door without turning the alarm off). It will only alarm if the magnetic connection remains broken. I have very secure windows that have been installed in my home that would pretty much require breaking them to enter. I just wanted something that would alert me that the door had been opened. I am disabled & only leave my home for a few hours a week so I really did not need anything for when I am away. I just don’t want anybody coming in on me unawares. My chihuahua would bark, but she is not big enough to scare anyone off. I am at the age that I am not willing to die for anything that I have in my home except maybe my chihuahua. I will just open my bedroom floor length window & leave with my dog. I am not planning on sticking around & fighting with anybody. I also sleep with a taser type flashlight (bought for protection after dangerous dogs attacked my dogs multiple times when walking) in my bed that would pretty much knock anyone out enough to allow me to escape. My neighborhood is fairly safe. It is more for psychological peace of mind then anything else. I sleep better knowing that the alarm is there to notify me if the door is opened. It works better than the large bells that I had hanging from the doorknobs previously. The dog will be happy that the bells are gone as they scared her to death every time I opened the doors!

In reading negative reviews of some window breaking alarms as being too sensitive, it has occurred to me that these alarms can be used safely for windows. Just set the alarm and the sensor the right distance apart. Someone breaks the window, the two components will most likely separate and the alarm will sound. If you tap the alarm, or if there’s a loud noise nearby like maybe thunder, the alarm will not go off as that’s not how it’s designed.

I am super impressed with these! They are not fancy, but they fit our needs. They are controlled by a simple off/on switch and the sound is LOUD! The installation was easy, but I did have to modify slightly because of the way our doors swing and the way our sliding door shuts. They still work beautifully and I’ve included pictures for reference.A couple other things I love about these:1. I can use them as an added layer of security for my little ones. I keep the alarms on during the day when we are home too so that my kids cannot open the door without me knowing it.2. Though some may dislike that these can’t be controlled remotely, I actually like them for that reason because it means they can’t really be hacked.

I ordered three types of door alarms to install in my house. Of the three, these are my absolute favorites. They come with the batteries and are super-easy to install, having sticky tape on the back of each part. You line up the arrows on the two parts and stick those in, then flip the switch to On. That’s all there is to it. This makes it super easy to Arm and Disarm. I’m glad there is a low battery light so I will know when to replace the batteries after a year or two. Plenty loud, too!Out of the three types of door alarms I ordered on Amazon, these are the only ones I ordered more of.
