I think this is a great introductory puzzle toy. Key word being introductory. Don’t buy this for an adult dog. The first time my puppy used it she was a little frustrated which made me realize it’s a good thing the puzzle is easy to solve because once she figured it out, she loved it.It does seem pretty sturdy, my little land shark has not been able to break it open as of yet.It does slow down feeding time drastically. 1 cup of dry food was distributed in three servings with this toy. Expanding her 1-2minute feeding from bowl to about 15mins in total using the toy.I’m also using this to break apart a single treat into several pieces. It’s good simple stimulation.Don’t expect this to mesmerize your older dog that is used to way more complex stimulation or toys. It’s is an incredibly simple puzzle but it will help you introduce the concept of work and reward to your puppy.Smearing a tiny bit of peanut butter in each compartment worked amazingly. My pup spent an entire hour licking the toy clean. That’s an hour she would’ve otherwise spent terrorizing our older dog’s tail, bitting my shoelaces or building up energy and anxiety.Best $10 I’ve ever spent on a dog toy.Jan 16, 2022 edit: Now that my pup is a little older and used to this toy I’ve been using it for dispensing 1 large or medium sized treat into a bunch of small portions. I guess the downsize of these toys is that eventually your pup will get used to them. She doesn’t take as long as she used to when eating out of this toy.

I really loved this toy for my girl cat. She is super smart and I figured her and her brother could use some puzzle toys to keep them entertained. This out of 5 other toys I have is my least favorite. Its not overall bad but it has issues. For my girl its great. She is gentle with it and figures it out nicely if super quickly compared to every other toy. My boy….. has issues with it. First time he got it he just beat at it with his paws till the slides moved on their own from being battered around and he would chow down without figuring it out at all and would make a mess in the process. All treats got ate in maybe less than half a min with him. It has 0 weight to it or suction so batting it around was far to easy. If it had either weight or suction Im sure the story would be different but alas. Personally I’m thinking of adding concrete to the bottom to help this but Im unsure yet. If I do I will update how that goes.

Well my brilliant dog did figure it out fairly quickly but he is a border collie and pretty much smarter than the children. I keep waiting for Mensa for dogs to open their registration so we can go get a proper IQ test. In the meantime these puzzles ensure that he never has a straightforward meal and that’s we doggie parents maintain our standing as instruments of frustration in both our dog’s life and our children’s. We do love to make both species do things that are good for them whether they like it or not! That being said we LOVE anything that wears out our brilliant dog’s brain power. Tired dog, happy parents. Good puzzle. Perfectly happy with it.

The media could not be loaded. Our dog trainer suggested getting one of these for our dogs to help keep them from getting bored during meal time. This also helps keep their brains active and mentally stimulate them during the winter months. They both enjoyed the puzzle and it worked great, even if it doesn’t take them long to finish it. It is very easy to set up and I think the dogs have fun. The puzzle itself is very durable as you can see in the video and is very well made.

The media could not be loaded. Peanut Butter the cat loves her cat treats. This product is an excellent way to make her work for a treat instead of just handing it to her. It only took a couple of days for her to get the hang of it.

The media could not be loaded. My stubborn cat eats so much then vommits right in front of her food bowl. I’m so frustrated and I’m trying to get ways for her to slow down eating. This is her first attempt and already she realizes there’s food available. She sticks her nose in and eats a little bit of food but she can’t gorge all at once. She can also reach her paw in and pull out more. She’s starting to realize she can use her nose to push the sliders but hasn’t quite mastered the concept yet. I think this will help with feeding so much.

Our nearly 8 year old schnauzer is afraid of all kinds of sounds and at first was afraid of the sound of the sliders that cover the depressions for the treats. With a few days of coaxing she approached it and found one treat but didn’t look for more. A few more days and she’d discovered there may be more treats hidden under those sliders. I break mini treats into 3 or 4 pieces so she doesn’t get too much. She has always liked us to hold a “cookie” (dog treat) for her to eat after she finishes her dish. She prefers this find it gadget. The only caution would be that it’s so fun to watch her get to them that it’s awfully tempting to let her “find” the treats more than once a day.

I did soak it in bleach before I used it and washing it is kind of a pain since the little tabs don’t pop out, but honestly that would be a choking hazard so I appreciate it in the end. My puppy loves just scratching at it and finding treats. Even when she’s found all the treats, she keeps pawing at it. It’s a great time saver on my part. I put pieces of boiled chicken too to make the whole thing more enticing and that worked super well. My only gripe with the product is it’s so ugly, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers!

I thought it would hold more food or treats but the openings are super small. My new puppy likes to play the game anyways. They should put suction cups on the bottom so the slider can be a bit heavier because it slides open very easy. Keeps him busy for about 10-20 minutes. Spots are big enough to put like 3-4 kibbles. Maybe best for very small breeds.

I have a 7mo old Dobie. She’s very smart but also stubborn. Lately she has not been wanting to eat her food and will try to steal her brother’s cat food. However, once I received this toy, I put her own kibble in it and she loved the challenge of finding the food. At first she struggled a bit, but then I showed her how to slide the doors to find the food and now she’s a pro! Although she continues to be picky with her own food when I put it in her bowl, she happily gobbles it from this toy! So far it seems pretty durable and was easy to wash. Even the cat tries to play with it!
