I bought 2 cots (medium) for my Sibe and Aussie. We have a memory foam dog bed, but both dogs prefer to sleep on the floor -_- I was concerned at first that they would be difficult to assemble after reading the reviews. They were ridiculously easy, so maybe they have changed their designed since the last review was written. My aussie Tundra was terrified of it at first, i threw a blanket on it and she hopped right on….took the blanket off, and she wouldn’t go near it. My Husky on the other hand loved it immediately, no coaxing needed. Fast forward a couple weeks later…they have stood up to quite a beating. The bed is typically used as “base”, bed, step stool. I bought a large size because my Sib wasnt able to stretch out on the medium. One thing that would be helpful is to have information on Amazon mirror the information on the box. The box for the medium cots state they are best for dogs the size of cocker spaniels….I was thrown off because one review stated that their 100 lb German Shepherd fit on the large, I have a 50 lb Sibe and 45 lb Aussie so I thought the large would be overkill. Medium is for a dog no larger than a Spaniel, Large are for retrievers, dalmations, siberian huskies etc. Hope this helps

My dog paces around frantically at night. Non stop. No matter what. Three bike rides, a hike, and six hours of doggy daycare? Nope, still wants to play all night. Intense day long training session? Nope, still wants to play all night. Distracting delicious treat dispensing toys? He just throws them at me while I’m trying to relax and watch some Mythbusters. What a jerk.He has like a thousand dog beds. He mostly uses them as some sort of sled to propel himself across the hardwood floors. For some reason I just keep buying them though. What can I say? He’s just so freaking adorable. This bed was on Black Friday special, and I was like “Hey, a dog bed the roombas can get under. That’s pretty cool. He’ll probably just be scared of it, but what the heck. Let’s try it.”… I think, for the first time since he had surgery and was loaded up on pain killers all day a few years ago… I actually got to sit on my couch with my husband in peace. This peace has continued for five days now. When I go in to the livingroom, he enthusiastically leaps on to the bed with gusto. I tossed a pillow on there, and now it’s all over. He just wants to lay there. He gets in that bed, keels over like he’s been working out herding cattle all day (You know, like MOST cattle dogs do. Slacker.) and just sighs with relief and drifts off to sleep. The other day, someone knocked on our door at 9:30 at night. Normally, he’d start screeching bloody murder as if he’d been shot and start frantically hip-slamming the door to scare away this unlikely intruder. He just raised his head, let out a concerned whine, and decided it wasn’t worth leaving the comfort of his new Coolaroo pet bed.I have no idea how a metal frame pet cot would be so comfy. I think it might be made of magic. Going to have to save up for another one for the other side of the house.

I purchased my first Coolaroo Elevated Dog Bed over 6 years ago for my 50 Lb Soft Coated Wheaten (purchased the Medium size). This bed has LASTED! I’ve been impressed and am purchasing 2 more for both of my dogs.Firstly, I’ll add that I live in sunny Arizona, and most things DO NOT last in the hot/dry Arizona climate. This bed has completely STOOD UP to the long-term test. I’ve attached a few pictures of my older bed compared to the new. I have been extremely impressed and surprised with how well the material has held up through the last 6 years. There is a bit of sagging and rusting, but its lasted 6 years in the rain and heat! No rips from dog nails, and he uses it as a step up to his dog door (which he runs in and out of).My dog LOVES sitting in this bed as it keeps him off the warmer ground and allows air to flow above and below him. He especially loves it on colder evenings when the wind is blowing.I would absolutely recommend and rate a perfect 5/5! Thank you for reading and rating my review!!!

These beds are amazing. We have 3 pigs and 3 dogs sharing 4 beds. Two pigs usually sleep on one together. They love them! A sharp hoof poked through the material…we couldn’t break it to her that she’s a little overweight. Our fault. But the replacement covers are only $9! Love!!!

I ordered this for my 130 lb Bullmastiff. I knew it wasn’t rated for his rate but thought I would give it a shot. I wanted to get him off of the hard floor to support his joints but he shreds every plush bed or blanker I try. I also have a 50lb English Bulldog who likes to mark every bed I try. We have had this for about 2 weeks now and so far it is great! They both use it daily. The Bulldog likes to bully the Mastiff off of it. The Mastiff fits on it comfortably. It sags a little from his weight, but I realize it wasn’t meant for his size. It seems like it will hold up well for both of them. Only time will tell if his weight wears it out but I think it will last quite a while.

I have 3 pretty big dogs. So I wasn’t sure what size cots to order. According to weight, my two big dogs should need a large bed, but many reviewers said their big dogs fit on the medium size cot.So I ordered 3 mediums. As you can see in the pic, they fit fine. They are 85,72, and 65 pounds. They love the beds! My fawn boxer took to it immediately, as he used to get on my lawn chair made of the same fabric. The other two took a few hours to warm up to the idea, but now as I type this a few minutes after snapping the pic, every head is down and eyeball shut. Snoring has begun. I think they are comfy! We bought these because we had to take carpet out due to allergies, and their pillowy beds hold dander and smells. So glad we bought them!Happy campers :)

I bought this bed for my large 85lb dog 3 years ago… I swear it feels like just a couple months ago. It has held up so well. Keep in mind my dog does not chew or dig so this is a non issue for me. But the cover holds his weight great, the elevation keeps him nice and cool in the hot months, sometimes he even prefers it over my bed. He is on this bed of his about 60% of the time, he truly loves it. Granted over time the cover does get stretched out and he sinks further into it. I replace the cover about every six months (for only $12 I’m happy with that) and it’s like new again. It is a pain to take apart and put back together every time, but that’s just part of how it’s built. Also during assembly people have mentioned how it doesn’t sit flat… that’s okay! Because it’s such a tight fit you need it to get into that wonky position in order to thread the last bolt. The trick is to not tighten the bolts, then once you’ve put the last one in and it’s sitting wonky, just push down on the whole thing. It will straighten out and sit flat. Then you tighten all the bolts. Easy as pie. I do this every 6 months without fail when I replace the cover and the hardware is still in perfect condition. Three years strong, I’d definitely say this was a good investment.

Because our large German Shepherd has hip joint problems, I keep thick foam dog beds throughout the house for him to lie on rather than the cold, hard slate floors. This works great for indoors; but he and our other dog both spend some time out on our covered and enclosed front porch during nice weather. I’d hesitated to leave the foam/fabric beds out on the porch for fear that moisture, pollen, and buggy things could start to take their toll on the beds.I decided that one of these Coolaroo beds would be perfect for using on the porch, since it would offer our shepherd relief from the hard wood flooring of the porch and also be relatively weather proof (although it doesn’t get direct sun or rain). He was a big weenie at first and wouldn’t step up on it. I started putting small pieces of dog treats in the middle of the bed, and it took very little time before he was happily hopping up on it without cookie bribery. So long as he doesn’t get wild and crazy-acting when he gets on or off, the bed stays in place without scooching around. When I first opened the package, I was afraid that the bed would be too small for our guy. I had checked the Coolaroo website and they apparently don’t make this bed in an extra-large size. Our pooch is a big fellow (over 100 lbs), but can rest comfortably on this large-size bed, although he’s unable to totally stretch out. Besides the more comfortable surface, the bed offers a cooler spot to rest since air can circulate under it. It’s also very easy to clean…you can even just hose it off. My only complaint is that there is an opening at each corner where the cover attaches to the frame. These four corner holes are dog-foot-size and it’s easy for my klutzy dog to accidentally slip a foot/leg into one of the holes when getting off the bed.The bed was quite easy to assemble. The box contained eight metal sections (posts/legs), four large screws, and the sturdy nylon mesh bed surface that attaches to the frame. The only required tool for assembly is a large phillips-head screwdriver (although I did use a power drill with screwdriver attachment for my assembly). When putting the bed together, it’s important to not tighten any of the four screws until you have them all lined up and started with their respective screw hole. It didn’t take me more than five minutes to put it together. The bed actually seems much sturdier than I expected while still remaining lightweight enough to easily move.I’d also bought one of the small Coolaroo beds for our little terrier just so she didn’t feel that her big brother always gets the cool stuff. Unfortunately, she insists on choosing the “big” bed instead of her little one. We’d leave the house for awhile and when we came home, she’d be sprawled in the middle of his large bed; and the poor big guy would be stuck lying on the floor with his chin resting on her little bed. So, now I’ve ordered a second large bed for her. It’s definitely overkill as far as size goes. Her 16 lb body is dwarfed by this large Coolaroo…but it has resolved the sharing problem. No matter which one she chooses, there will still be a large one left for him (or at least until such time as she figures out how to stack them and keep them all to herself). Our little adopted cat occasionally wanders outside on the porch and I can usually find her snuggled on one of the beds with the dogs. These beds are also the perfect choice for when your dog is vacationing at a kennel. I never wanted to take any of their regular beds to the kennel for fear of what nasties I might bring home in them; so I’d always just pick up a couple of cheap used comforters/blankets at Goodwill to use during kennel stays. These raised beds are so much better, though. It keeps their bodies up off the hard floor and I can easily disinfect them when we get home. They’re SO much easier to move around than big padded floppy beds. If they’re out on the porch and I want to bring them back in the house, they easily stack and are still lightweight enough to let them both hang at your side to carry inside.I’ve included a photo of our 110+ lb Ferg on the bed so that you can get an idea of sizing.UPDATE: I see that Coolaroo now sells this raised bed in an x-large size. Good news. I’ll probably order one in the larger size so my big guy can fully stretch out.

I wasn’t sure which bed to choose because two brands seemed good. I have a medium-sized Golden Retriever (70lbs) who is getting up in her years and I wanted two elevated beds for her, so I bought both a Large Bedsure Original Elevated Dog Bed and a Large Coolaroo The Original Elevated Pet Bed. Both beds are the same length, but the Bedsure is wider (see photo). They were both a little frustrating to put together, for different reasons, but I would give the Coolaroo a slightly better rating for ease of assembly. I put them both together, let me dog lay on each for a bit, then placed them side by side and told her to go to her bed. She picked the Bedsure (see photo). Of note, neither has the kind of rubber feet I recall them claiming to have to I will need to probably order something to put under the feet to protect my hardwood floors. The feet are rubberized, but they would not protect the floors from my dog flopping on the bed like dogs do.

The media could not be loaded.  This bed has exceed my expectations in every way. So affordable and has shown zero signs of wear after being left out in the California sun and heat for over 9 months! Not to mention a fat little English bulldog treating it more like a trampoline than an actual bed haha
