Works perfectly to secure my handgun in the trunk of the car. If someone is really intent on breaking in and taking it they will but this system is a great way of deterring crimes of opportunity when they are just snatching and running.

You can mount the outer housing in your vehicle to use it on the road. Your safe will lock in the housing, but will also lock onto the cable, so you can use it double duty in the car, in the hotel, and in the home. Just ordered a second for my son.

I mounted this under the rear seat in my access cab truck. I had to cut out a space for it, but once installed it’s about as secure as anything can get. Unfortunately, this area is near the gas tank, so drilling or bolting to the frame was out, so I placed an aluminum crossbar on the inside of the mounting so it couldn’t be pulled out.Fit’s my Glock 19 with an extra mag nicely.

I got this safe to put it on my car to be able to put away my S&W M&P9 Shield gun and I must say I love it! The gun fits perfect and I’m able to put an extra magazine with it. It was pretty easy to install, I changed the screws for better and stronger ones to make it harder to get to. If you own a gun, this safe is definitely a must have, just make sure it will fit on the safe.

I like the mounting and locking features, they are easy enough to mount pretty much anywhere you want to… I just wish it was a little bit bigger it is only sized for one gun,

Nice little safe. I mounted the bracket and also used the cable as a secondary measure of protection. Rather than drill through the frame, I used steel support brackets for plumbing and wing nuts to attach it to the bottom of the driver’s side seat in my Honda Pilot, and then use the cable around the seat support column. Easy to access, out of hte way, and it should keep it out of the hands of kids and anyone without a lot of time to try to pry it out. The wingnuts are obviously not idea for anti-theft, but I used locktite, and they are actually really hard to get to, so a thief would need a lot of time and small hands to unscrew them.It easily fits my bodyguard 380 in a holster with an extra mag, and does the same for my Glock 26, even with extended Glock 19 mag.

This car safe is about what I expected for the price. It seems sturdy enough to deter a thief. With enough time and the right tools though I am sure the vault could be breached. I have a carry permit but sometimes I have to leave my weapon in the car. This is an economical way to give it more protection than locked in the glove compartment. I plan to use the cable which comes with the safe to secure it in my car. I might buy a second one to use in my house. I plan to use the mounting bracket supplied that makes it more secure. I carry a medium sized .38 that fits nicely in the case. Anything any bigger might not fit.

One of the best car safes/safes I’ve ever purchased and will from now on only stick to bulldog when it comes to car safes. I recommend everyone gets one for their own safety of valuables.

It’s to small my gun don’t fit in the case

This case will fit a Glock 26, S&W M&P Shield and a S&W Model 469 perfectly. It will even fit 2 extra mags with a 3rd in the weapon (even with pearce grip extenders on the Glock). It will not fit a full sized auto as my Glock 17 will not fit. (see photos)I have my Glock 26 in a Kydex holster and it fits like it was custom made. If you have a Sticky holster it will also fit fine.I chucked the screws that came with the kit and went to the hardware store and bought 1/4″ x 20 x 3/4″ long beveled machine screws with nylon locking nuts and mounted it under the rear deck in the trunk between my speakers. Just use the housing as a pattern on a piece of cardboard and drill your holes exact. Then take the cardboard and tape it to where you are mounting the housing. Center punch the holes where you are going to drill. It will save you a lot of headache getting the holes to line up.I did use the black spacers that came with the kit because if I didn’t it wouldn’t have cleared a lip in my trunk when removing the safe.If you have enough room, you might not need the spacers and you can get away with 1/2″ long screws.Overall for the price this safe serves it’s purpose but a determined thief with a crow bar and a set of heavy duty wire cutters could still get away with this easily. Make sure and try to mount it where it cannot be easily seen when you open your trunk.
