My mom was surprised & pleased with this long handled dustpan! She hasn’t had one before and gee is it nice to not have to bend over. My favorite part is the rubber edging on the dustpan that meets the floor does it’s job exceptionally well… I only have to sweep the debris into it ONE time, rather than the ‘ole backup-sweep-backup dance. It’s refreshing!One criticism is that the handle section of the pole comes unscrewed easily, but some threadlocker is a quick fix for that. They call the handle portion an “extension”, but really it just brings the broom to a good height for a normal person. The dustpan handle is a little shorter, I’m 5’6 and it comes to my upper abdomen. Still plenty of height for easy use, but the picture makes it seem like the pan & broom match up, by treating the “extension pole” as an accessory (you’re going to want it on).

When used for quick pick up it’s fine but if you try to use the broom by itself, it’s just too short. You can remove a part from the dustpan and create a larger broom handle but then the dustpan is too short. I feel they missed the boat of having it come with 1 more extension to make it an option of a longer broom. Also the bristles permanently bend when putting it back into the dustpan and locking in place for storage. It is very annoying to have several bristles be perpendicular to the broom when removing it. Over time, more and more bristles become perma-bent proving to be annoying. I may just have to cut them off.UPDATE:March 2019 – I was emailed based on my review and provided a sturdier version of the product WITH extensions. I am extremely pleased. Leaning over with the short handle was tough on my back when picking up larger messes. The seller contacted me and provided me what I needed. I am a huge fan of customer service and they exceeded expectation.

I really needed this long-handled dust pan for the three rooms in our house that are not carpeted. My back was killing me from bending over to use a regular dust pan. First of all, I will say that this is a great price for this broom and dust pan. They are well made, and I like that they connect together. The bristles of the broom are nice and silky. It is easy to comb off any animal fur from the broom with the comb that is attached to the dust pan. In reading reviews of other similar products, I saw that some people are concerned that fine dust may go under the pan rather than into it. When I first tried my pan, I noticed just a tiny amount of that. To perfect the situation, there is a very simple solution to this issue. First of all, the dust pan does have a thin rubber lip along its edge. As you know, rubber and plastic are very pliable. I learned from my father years ago how to deal with this type of issue. Just soak the dust pan in the tub in very hot water (not boiling) for five minutes or so. Take it out and then lay the dust pan flat on the floor. Since the plastic is flexible when warm and wet, you can very slowly bend it in the direction that you want, if necessary. I did not have much of an adjustment to make on this dust pan, so I just laid two cast iron pans on the rubber lip and adjacent lower flat plastic part of the dust pan. You can use whatever heavy weight items you have available. Let it cool for 15 minutes or so, then remove the weight, dry the dust pan, and you should be set to use it. If it needed a little more adjusting, you could repeat the process. However, this item was near perfect when I purchased it, so it hardly needed any adjusting at all. It was my perfectionism that made me want to adjust it a tad. BTW, this is a great way to adjust your eye glass frames…soak in hot water, very gently apply manual pressure, dry, and put on. Saves a trip to a professional.

I love this set. The soft bristles sweep up the smallest bits of dirt. The rubber on collection scoop is very pliable and even on textured flooring, if you push down, you can sweep all particles into it. You don’t have that stupid little line of dirt that just won’t sweep in.

It’s a really good broom and dustpan set. Really easy to use and I love the feature of the teeth on the dustpan to clean the broom out after use handsfree. the head of the broom is a tad narrow but it actually doesn’t really matter. I just would have preferred a wider head.

I had brain surgery back in November and bought this because I was not able to bend down, but still needed to find a way to easily pick up a little bit in my room. This allowed me to sweep without bending over and is very light weight. I also love the fact that the broom snaps in place to the dust pan, and that the dust pan has that comb for the broom. This is fantastic for the price and I recommend it.

I am very pleased with this dust pan & broom set up! It enables me to take care of the floors without ANY assistance. With my mobility difficulties- I had to have help before – but NOW I can complete this task without bending. It’s much safer for me and very effective. Because of this upright dust pan and lobby broom, I’ve gotten back some more of my indepence. JUST LOVE IT!

This soft bristle broom should be great in most indoor settings, while you could use it outside the softer bristles would be sorely wasted on wet or rough surfaces. I like this broom more than I expected, and while there’s some assembly required it does in fact seem tough enough to handle some mucky jobs for quite a while, though I would much prefer a solid handle and firmer bristles this is still a great broom especially considering the included sweep bucket or” Charlie.” Just ok broom, EXCELLENT combo. Sweep bucket also comes with a bristle cleaner – really great design choice.

My new broom just arrived and I just put it together. The sturdy metal poles went together easily and the broom fits neatly inside the dustpan. Sweeping is a breeze! The only thing that would make this purchase better would be to have a handsome butler included with it. After looking through the delivery box, I realized that the butler was nowhere to be found, so I took the broom to my husband and told him that he would be my new butler. He did not like that!
