The media could not be loaded. In a world of lots of speakers few still stand out like this one! It has sound quality that fills a room, as if your favorite band was serenading you! You can really here the subtleties of each instrument. Another neat feature is that you don’t have to face it in any particular direction. 360 sound means 360! The same great sound is in every direction. That is what is truly incredible about this speaker. In addition, it has a built in mic for calls and enabling the linked devices, like Alexa. The 13 hour battery life is super cool too!Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

I just picked this up to replace a Klipsch BT speaker I’ve used for over 10 years. Why do I own a BT speaker and how do I use it? I’m a photographer and knowing the model’s music preferences, and having a service like Apple Music or Spotify, allows me to play music during the shoot to help put them at ease and bring out a bit of rhythm to help with posing, especially flow posing. Carefully adjusting the playlist can help bring about desired body language and facial expressions. The sound isn’t great but it’s very, very good, with a prominent midrange and inoffensive treble with sufficient baritone and bass notes. It’s been tuned well for its size and should work well with most any genre of music. Despite being designed and advertised as “360 degree sound,” the tweeter is clearly front-biased while either a port or passive radiator is rear-biased.Listening to Duffy “Rockferry” and Caro Emerald “Deleted Scenes From the Cutting Room Floor” both sound great. I’m not ashamed to break this out for a studio portrait or conceptual art shoot. The buttons could be better labeled with the industry standard rather than proprietary choices, but once you figure it out, it’s fine. I don’t need the water resistance but it’s nice knowing it’s durable. The exterior of my Triple Black unit is delightfully understated. Battery life is serviceable… I’d expect a unit of this size to have at least double the advertised runtime, so a charging base is already in the shopping cart. The lack of USB-C quick charging, especially in this latest, version II release is a huge letdown. The inclusion of a 1/4”-20 thread in the base, the standard thread for photography, is a huge boon, especially for photographers and using while outdoors as it can easily be mounted on a tripod or light stand for better sound performance.Ultimately, it all comes back to sound. It’s far better balanced than the Beats Pill and is able to be played at full volume, unlike the Beats, of which the bass heavy tuning causes the full range drivers to rattle and flutter at full blast. While the Revolve II is clearly directionally biased, it’s not as bad as unidirectional speakers like the Beats Pill. I’m able to set this up on a tripod in the studio, connect Apple Music, set volume to half and never have to touch it again as the sound is delivered in all directions. For the price, it’s one of the better portable BT speakers available. If you need more volume and higher fidelity, I’d recommend the Plus version, as it is large enough to accept Bose’s signature tuning and does sound better overall. However, for my purposes, the non-Plus version fits perfectly in my camera bag, alongside my lenses, making it perfect for studio and on-location use. It’s the best collection of compromises for the price point and sounds almost as good as it looks. The sound is actually so mid-focused and clean, I’m considering buying a second one to use in stereo with my iMac, just plucking one off it’s charging base whenever I head out to the studio or location. If you want a $200 portable BT speaker, you’d be crazy to buy anything besides this, unless you’re an uncompromising bass head. If that’s the case, buy a Sony and avoid the Beats Pill.

I’ve used Bose for a long time and I have never been disappointed! I read some reviews of this speaker that quite frankly were complete nonsense. I also watched a video review and the person was complaining about the power cord. Come on people! From the moment I opened the box and turned this speaker on, I was impressed! Quick connect! Sound – awesome! I live in a house with 12 foot ceilings and this little speaker could be heard everywhere and the sound was amazing!! Typical Bose product – AWESOME! As for the other people’s complaints – I’ll say this: use the product for its intended purpose and you should be fine. It says it’s water resistant but I have no plans of testing that functionality. I don’t want to risk it! Battery life – if you plan on charging this up and using it extensively, expect the battery to not last long. Not an issue for me because I know the limitations of the speaker and I adjust accordingly. Sound quality – typical Bose quality. Totally satisfied. One person commented that when it’s connected to your phone and you’re playing music and you get a call, it connects the call. Isn’t that what it’s supposed to do? And it’s extremely easy to reconnect the speaker.

Bose has been my go-to for speakers for years. This device did not disappoint! Several other reviews mentioned no wall charger – it comes with a USB cord (pictured) which is totally acceptable to me. I did purchase the cradle separately. The sound quality is top-notch. The charge lasts a long time. We hosted a party and played music all day and into the evening – remaining charge was still at 50%. Easy to use, sounds great, small and portable. I love it! One other thing – several reviews mentioned no app and having to use the controls on the device. Not the case! You are able to use your phone to adjust volume, pause, advance right from your music library.

It was a hefty amount of money to spend just before Christmas but I was glad I did. I had had mediocre blue tooth speaker that died after 1 year and wanted another one. We have had a Bose CD/Radio player for years but it was too old for blue tooth. I remembered how beautiful the music was coming from that player and decided to take a chance. I read many reviews and comments but basically I thought it would be worth it to pay extra for a richer, multidimensional sound. It sounds beautiful. It could play very loud but I never need to turn it up that much. It fills the room with music. In my opinion it was worth the price to get the quality and I hope last as long as our 20 year old CD/Radio player which still works.

I read the negative reviews but since I had good products from Bose over the past 15 years I decided to try this when my SoundLink III died. In fact I purchased 2 of them so I could link them in stereo mode wirelessly. Absolutely incredible base with better treble than in my old SoundLink. There’s no distortion that my ears can pick up at full volume. I wouldn’t leave it cranked up or I’m sure my neighbors would eventually complain. The wireless connection can be done in party mode where both speakers play all tracks or stereo mode which separates the right and left tracks. The portability is a nice touch for wireless stereo because you can put yourself in the perfect listening spot in every room of the house or outdoors with no wires to limit where you place the speakers. The easiest way to do this is with the App called Bose Connect on the cell phone. It’s a snap. The downside is that you have link the speakers each time you turn them on. One is linked by Bluetooth to the Bluetooth music source (my phone) then the App links the second speaker to the first one. To those who complain that the speaker talks all day and won’t shut up I say TRY TURNING IT OFF😆. You won’t hear another word until you turn it on again! I’ve had no battery life or charging problems so far. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge from dead. Playing time depends on how loud you crank it up. I had the speakers playing softly while working from home- after 9 hours they still had 80% charge left. Advice- don’t keep it plugged in the charger because this will eventually shorten the play time and lead to an early battery demise. These are pricy but in my opinion worth it.

The revolve 2 I purchased wins. This is surprisingly a bad comparison to the $299 version. The highs and lows aren’t really great.Surprising for a Bose. Which I was always a fan of because a childhood friend had a thx Bose system and that thing was pure sound.Just to say it’s not as surrounding in sound.

I have used this for several months on and off. The sound, meaning mainly the amplitude without distortion and the frequency range, is better than any portable speaker I’ve owned, including other Bose products. I’m sure I could do better if I spent more, but this is a good deal for the price. Battery lasts several hours. One slightly annoying thing is that it can only pair with two source devices at a time. But that’s really minor.

This seemed expensive to me but it was worth the cost. The shape is perfect for the small space it occupies, the sound is excellent for it’s size and substantial weight holds it vibration free to the surface it sits on. Because the sound goes out in all directions, a simple cardboard reflector behind the speaker can direct the sound in a preferred direction. This workhorse runs all day for three days before needing a recharge. Could not ask for more from it.
