I raised Chihuahuas for years. When a lady recently called me to tell me that her Chihuahua who was 21 years old had just died, I asked her what she was feeding her. Lamb and Rice with no wheat, corn, or soy. I switched immediately! This food has NO junky fillers in it. It is all top quality ingredients. You will feel good knowing that you are doing the very best that you can by your furry little friends when you switch to Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula. My dogs are VERY important to me and I want to know that I’m giving them the very best. You can feed your dog cheap junk and pay the difference in vet bills and short life, or you can give them the best and enjoy them for many years and relish the knowledge that you are doing the very best for them that you can. I choose the latter.

My Yorky has lots of allergies and is a picky eater. She THRIVES on Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Natural Adult Small Breed Dry Dog Food Lamb and Brown Rice. I’ve tried other foods and she didn’t like them and she itched and grated her butt and licked it constantly and her gut would make all kinds of noises and she laid around a lot. After putting her on this all that stopped! She does not drag and lick her bottom at all and her hair is shiny and soft. She is getting older (lost some teeth) so I wet her first feeding of the day to soften it a bit but she eats the rest dry. She weighs 11.5 pounds and she only eats 2/3 cup a day. She tends to get a little portly on the 1 cup a day. The vet says she is in perfect shape and the shape of a 2 year old and she is 8 ys in 2019. She plays and runs and is very happy and very lively. I don’t switch foods anymore. I’m sticking with it.

Oh my goodness – Blue Buffalo is AMAZING!!! My baby girl Yorkie has cataracts in her right eye, she is going bald and most importantly she is listless and refuses to roam – If that does not cut your heart, she would have diarrhea everyday like a Picasso painting on my bedroom floor and I felt sick to my stomach to see the bowel movements, I thought surely my Yorkie was dying. You know Yorkies stay like puppies their whole life in that they are active and happy as a puppy. I started crying my Yorkie is going to be 13 in October and I feel like I am losing her right so I cry all the time. Then my husband said to Google Small breed for elderly dogs. I did and I thank the Lord you begin with “B” You were the first and last stop I read “Life Protection” I am NOT EXAGERATING! Within 3 days my Yorkie who is named Yoko stopped having diarrhea and her bowels were getting more solid, then by the week back to normal. She became more active in 10 days and by 14 days she was seen throughout the house and I was so amazed at the transition!! OMG, her hair is all over her face, my baldy blind baby was on the mend- I just repurchased another bag and I realize her babies should be on the same food as they are now 6 years old so maybe they will sustain a healthier life – Blue Buffalo you make my heart glow this is not an ACT it is an actual Testimonial to the IMPACT and RESULTS I have seen and measured with the love of my life my Yoko – I cannot thank you enough for existing- Please let the world know that your product doesn’t just Protect Life – It Improves their Life in leaps and bounds and with in 3 days they will begin to witness what appears to be Miraculous – I will sign anything an affadavit to provide you with support but I do not think you will need it for if anyone will try they will NEVER leave you – The key is to inform the world of your product before they get to the point of my Yoko, In closing thank you for providing a quality of Life for my Yoko

I was surprised at how my little girl loves this food. I read up on Blue Buffalo before purchasing and I was confident that it was healthier for dogs in general compared to store bought brands. However, when she dove right in, I was shocked. I imagined this long process having to ween her off the other food as if it were a drug. Nope! Coco loved it from the first bowl and still loves it today. Great product at a great price.

Our loveable non-pure breed Chiweenie Taco has had alopecia since he adopted us in 2015. Vet thinks he’s 8-9 years old. He’s had alopecia running the length of his spine since he entered our family. We’ve tried different things but nothing worked. We called it his ‘reverse mohawk’ and it never seemed to bother him. We could see all the freckles on his skin because it was a patch of hair loss measuring 4″x18″ with more hair loss along the flank.Nothing about his life has changed except this food, Blue Buffalo Life Protection Small Breed, introduced in late 2021 and his hair has been growing THICK & LUSTROUS ever since! I thought the Pure Balance brand we’ve fed him forever was reasonably nutritious but I can safely say this food has turned our dog into Fabio and it’s awesome. I AM IMPRESSED BLUE BUFFALO!

After using a high quality competitor’s brand for several years I switched to this based on a recommendation from my son who uses it for his dog. We had frequent occurrences (once or twice a week) where our dog would throw up, but I never suspected her diet. She has been on this food for about 6 months now and since switching we have not had one single incident of her throwing up. What a relief! When making the switch, we did it over a period of several weeks, gradually increasing the percent of the new food until the switch was complete. We (me and our dog) are now Blue Buffalo fans for life! UPDATE: The first time I ordered this it was $30.99. About 6 weeks later I went to reorder it and it went up to $36.39! No longer a good deal on Amazon and the price is better at the pet store.UPDATE #2: Good News … the price is back down where it should be at $30.99 for the 15 lb bag! This restores my faith in Amazon – they apparently act upon feedback. Nice!UPDATE #3: Well now, Amazon’s price is back to $36.39 and I just bought today (10-21-18) for 31.99 at Petco. UPDATE #4 Good grief! Amazon is now $80 for a 15# bag, which is ridiculous. I just bought it from chewy.com for 38.98.

The media could not be loaded. Last year we adopted a miniature schnauzer from the local animal shelter. After trying several different brands of dog food at various price points, we discovered that Blue Buffalo’s Life Protection Formula Natural Adult Dry Dog Food Small Breed Chicken and Brown Rice was the best for our pooch. Instead of being packed with fillers like corn, soy, wheat and protein meal, it DOES contains loads of great nutrients like whole grains, antioxidant-rich fruit and veggies, and pure protein’s like fresh poultry (in this case, chicken). Because it is more nutrient rich, we can feed him less and therefore he has to defecate less. One thing we noticed with the cheaper brands is that his stool was either so hard it hurt him when he had to pass it, or it was so soft we couldn’t even pick it up when we went for walks around the neighborhood. With Blue, his bowel movements are just right, and it makes for a much happier pet. This food also helps keep his coat really shiny, and he simply loves the taste. So it is really true: if you put healthy ingredients into your own diet for optimal health and well being, it only makes sense to do the same for your furry companion. You just can’t go wrong with Blue!

I have three little guys, a Chihuahua, Taco-Terrier, and Chi-Weenie (6, 12, and 17 pounds). It takes them approximately one month to go through this 15 pound bag. I used to buy Royal Canin but it was so expensive ($43 to $45 for a 10 pound bag). I switched them to Bil-Jac but they started throwing up. After a lot of research I decided to try Blue Buffalo. They love it and have had no problems with it. No more vomiting. And if they do happen to have an accident in the house, their poops are firm and don’t ruin my carpet. I especially wanted something with a lot of protein and no by-products as this little breed is very finicky. One time when I ran out I bought a store brand which was highly rated but they would not eat it. When I did get my Blue Buffalo and tried to mix them, they picked out the Blue Buffalo and left the other brand behind. I would highly recommend this for your small breed dog.

I have and older Chihuahua with itchy skin and a lot of stomach issues. Over the last couple years we have tried several foods to help her that were recommended (and sold) at the veterinarians office. None of them helped and some even made her issues worse.I was apprehensive to try Blue Buffalo because some prior recalls but was also desperate to find something to help my little pup. I took the chance and transitioned her to the small breed chicken and rice life protection formula and she has been doing great! She no longer itches and has no more tummy troubles. Her coat even looks shinier.I have also introduced her to several other Blue Buffalo products (treats, wet food, etc.) and she has handled them very well. Overall she seems much happier and healthier which is what we all want for our furry friends.

My Lil angels love this food, took us trying over 7 different brands. I 🙋♀️ volunteer at my local SPCA, I mostly do alot of the training for animals to get adopted, I turn pit bulls into fluffy angels, ive turned killer yorkies into lap angels. I also had to ✅ find the right food for them and my pups. This food worked on my dogs 🐕 and i cried tears of joy when a 2 pound yorkie that wouldn’t eat for 2 days i began to hand feed her this food and it worked! I turned into an FBI agent when she was finally fit to be adopted, from great danes to teacup 🐩 poodles I’ve seen this food being gobbled down. I adore 💗 what I do it’s a job I don’t get paid for, and everytime I need to adjust a proper 💯 change of food, i usually nail it the first time with this food!
